5/6 Silhouette Self-portraits - 2017/18
Chalk pastel was the medium used to create self-portrait silhouettes by 5/6 students. Realistic images were achieved by drawing from their own photograph as a reference. Each student enlarged their silhouettes using the grid method of drawing. This method allows for accurate dimensions and line. Chalk pastel blending techniques were applied to achieve just the right skin tone and hair color. I was very impressed by level of work created by the 5/6 students.
