6/7 "Trapped" Watercolor 2019/20

This lesson is called "Trapped" because the objective was to place a living thing into a bottle, jar, light bulb... any type of glass container. The original idea was from Rachel Byler: a watercolor artist. She painted an image of a hummingbird trapped in a light bulb. The minimal application of watercolor paired with the single image is stunning. We took off from that idea and included different items and living things that could be trapped. This led to creating environments within the container accompanied with the item or living thing. They are each unique.
