6/7 Pop Art Self-Portraits 2019/20

Roy Lichtenstein was a famous pop artist from the late 20th century. Born in 1923, Lichtenstein along with Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns led the pop art movement. Pop art is characterized by imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, and comic books along with ordinary everyday objects. Lichtenstein's work included parody and comic book style figures and the look of newspaper pixels in photography. 6/7 students created paintings in the Pop art style of Lichtenstein.
